Governor Mutua Spends Ksh350 Million to Build Machakos' "White House"
Passing by the building, one would definitely think it is the state house but it is not. However, Machakos 'white house' is one of the tourist attraction sites in the county.
For the last 9 years, Machakos county under the leadership of Governor Alfred Mutua has witnessed a lot of developments, especially in the real estate sector.
Machakos government has realized the benefits that come with the development of real estate and that's why it has been in the frontline on matters real estate.
One of the biggest development in the county's real estate is Machakos ' white house.'

This project cost the county government Ksh350 million. Additionally, this project was built in less than a year.
It is made up of the West Wing and East Wing. The West Wing is where you can get the house of the governor and the office of the chief of staff.
Executive meetings are held on the West wing side of the house as well as the governor meets top guests and dignitaries on the same wing.
On the other hand, the East wing holds the office of the first lady, the governor's advisors and other county officials.
The building also has an in-house conference facility with a capacity of at least 200 people, where the governor can hold county meetings, meet MCAs and other guests.
There are also rooms where the governor can entertain his high-profile guests.
