Lying on 3,756 acres is East Africa’s largest luxury resort, Zanzibar Amber Resort.

Being one of its kind the resort has five leading hotels including the Ritz Carlton and Anantara – an aqua park, underwater restaurant, and nightclub.

The coast also includes East Africa’s first championship Ernie El-designed golf course.

The resort also has a glamorous souk dedicated to promoting local goods and music as well as a super-yacht facility.

According to the resort’s Managing Director, Saleh Said, the construction was to take about 15 years to complete from its time of inception in 2017. However, the construction stalled when covid-19 hit but the work resumed in 2022.

The project is estimated to provide 5,000 temporary jobs and another 5,000 long-term ones. It is also estimated to cost $1.6 billion.

Besides a 9,842-foot runway, a world-class medical facility, and a private international school, the most stunning options include 1,914 luxury villas and 3,440 luxurious penthouse apartments valued from $700K to $10 million.

With the intention to take care of the deep-pocketed individuals with a liking for the fine things in life, the resort has incorporated the construction of the underworld nightclub.

Zanzibar Amber Resort is also a key eco-conservator exploring the use of green energy to power up the community.

The resort will surely put East Africa on a pedestal for its luxury.
