Underwater Hotel Room in Africa
Imagine sleeping next to and waking up to the site of fish. The Manta resort is where such dreams are realized. Located in Pemba Island in Tanzania, the tiny hotel has an upper deck and a submerged room.
The Manta Resort “Underwater Room” lies within the resort’s Conservation Area which is an island surrounded by untouched coral in Pemba Island, Tanzania.
The Underwater Room sits 250 meters from the shore. A cozy room with amazing views of fish under the water seen through the glass façade of the room. At sea level, there is a rooftop deck, bathroom, and lounge.
A two-story wooden deck above water level makes the Underwater Room totally self-contained. In order to access the underwater bedroom, a ladder must be used.
The hotel which is isolated in a sea of blue bubbles grants you space and tranquility that is often not found anywhere else. This can be a great place to go for honeymoons or a place to spoil yourself.
So many love stories have been written here, including the sad one where a man drowned proposing to his girlfriend back in 2019.
Getting into the submerged room, you will be welcomed by an arm of different fish species and at night, the sight gets even better.
The best thing about being in the Manta resort is if you get tired of being underwater, you have the option of experiencing the sky view.
