Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua Kanyi, who is popularly known by his stage name Jaguar, shared images of his expensive mansion in the rural while acknowledging his humble beginning.

Jaguar is said to have settled for a minimalist interior designer. His living room is adorned with beautiful leather sofa sets, and a well-furnished marble floor, the designer used soft colors on the wall which makes the room feel warm.

His study room is also perfectly designed with leather seats, and a neatly-designed bookshelf.

The mansion which is estimated to cost Ksh.40 million, has grey roof and yellow-painted gutters which gives it elegance.

His big compound can accommodate several vehicles and has nicely trimmed edges, shaped lawns with flowers which are planted around the house.

His compound is also paved with cabro that includes walkways and driveway.

The "Kigeugeu" hit maker, in an interview with Radio Citizen’s Willy M Tuva and Sally Kadot, narrated his tough, humble beginnings revealing how he started working in a car wash and later as a tout (manamba).

He later decided to try his luck in music industry which at first was not doing well.

He was then invited to the United States of America, with hope of a greener pasture, however, things did not go well as he had planned and he even got deported after the officials realized that he lacked proper documents.

However, he did not lose hope in going back to the US. He went to the embassy and managed to get proper documents and he convinced the officials that he was going back on musical invitation.

Upon his second return, things did not go well again since no one knew him musically. He later took a sweeping job and he also worked in dollar stores which he would earn $10 per hour.

From this he managed to save enough money which he used to start up his businesses upon his return to Kenya. His music did well and later he joined politics.
