Women empowerment from women groups and "chamas" has played a vital role in building the capacity of women by offering them financial independence, hence motivating them to venture into the real estate industry. Additionally, the government and various organizations have implemented policies and initiatives to promote gender equality and encourage women's participation in all sectors, including real estate.
Mentorship and apprenticeship are other factors that have fueled women's involvement in real estate because women can learn and acquire skills and knowledge from other women, which are required to navigate the real estate market successfully.
Feminism is also another factor that has accelerated the involvement of women in real estate.
According to Avneesh Sood, the director of the EROS group, feminist principles have the potential to make a significant impact on the real estate industry by promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. The feminist principle has also helped increase women's involvement in real estate by promoting cultural sensitivity and awareness by challenging some traditions and cultures that were always against women's involvement in real estate since the sector has always been considered to be male-dominated.
