Qwetu: A Solution to Students Accommodation
With the rising number of students who are enrolled in colleges and universities, there has been a shortage of accommodation.
Most universities in Kenya provide accommodation within their campuses but it has become a norm now for students to source for accommodation facilities off-campus due to the ever increasing number of admission.
Qwetu identified this gap and came up with a Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Qwetu brand is owned by Acorn Holdings Limited which was founded by Edward Kirathe who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer.
Qwetu was piloted in 2015 as a joint venture between Acorn Holdings and Helios Investment Partners a U.K Private Equity (PE) firm.
Qwetu offers students with guaranteed security, clean residences, game rooms, gyms, Wi-Fi and multiple rooms.

Qwetu residences include Aberdare Heights which is near United States International University (USIU) and Pan African University, Jogoo Road which is the pioneer residence, Ruaraka near Allsops off Thika Road, Wilson View and Parklands.
