Many Kenyans have grown to appreciate his character in the household show, Papa Shirandula. However, very few individuals know that he is a landlord. Njoro shares his...
Investing in various businesses could be a life-saving intuition just in case when tables turn. Well, investing in real estate was Njoro's choice.
Speaking with Dr. Kingori with the Wicked edition Ken Gichoya aka Njoro Shindarula opens up about his life story and explains his experience as a realtor.
Ken is famously known for his thespian comedy roles in the show Papa Shindarula which aired on Citizen Television among other programs like ‘In true colors’ which he participated in.
His story is one from grass to grace having languished on Church-road on Ongata Rongai. The 43-year-old and father of three children has rental property in Joska, Machakos County whose rent per unit deepens his pockets by Ksh. 10,000.
He also has properties in Ruai and Utawala in Nairobi County and in Kiserian, Kajiado County. This is years later after hustling in the streets selling sweets which he confesses to having paid more than what he got from acting.
He shares his sentiments and struggles as a landlord. 'Njoro' advises that real estate investment is made for the future generation and that trying to reap the fruits after establishing a rental building could equally be as trying.
He noted that the house could go unoccupied for some time which is actually against the expectations of a landlord.
Ken Gachoya remains an inspiration to many Kenyan citizens as he has taken up real estate and is surely reaping the fruits of his labor thanks to a push from his mother, indeed it is never too late to start.
