1. Jomo Kenyatta's Regime (1963-1978):
Jomo Kenyatta's government focused on nation-building efforts following Kenya's independence. The regime's notable real estate achievement was the establishment of Nairobi's first formal low-cost housing project, known as Jericho Estate. Completed in 1964, this project aimed to provide affordable housing to low-income individuals and families.
2. Daniel arap Moi's Regime (1978-2002):
During Daniel Arap Moi's tenure, the government prioritized expanding affordable housing and addressing the housing deficit. One of the regime's significant achievements was the introduction of the National Housing Corporation (NHC) in 1988. The NHC played a crucial role in facilitating the construction of affordable housing units across the country.

3. Mwai Kibaki's Regime (2002-2013):
Under Mwai Kibaki's leadership, the government focused on infrastructure development and urbanization. The regime's notable real estate achievement was the construction of Thika Superhighway, officially known as the Thika Road Improvement Project. Completed in 2012, this modern highway significantly improved transportation and connectivity between Nairobi and Thika, stimulating real estate development along its corridor.

4. Uhuru Kenyatta's First Regime (2013-2017):
During Uhuru Kenyatta's first term, the government aimed to provide affordable housing to Kenyan citizens. The regime's significant real estate achievement was the launch of the Affordable Housing Program, a flagship project under the Big Four Agenda. This program aimed to deliver 500,000 affordable housing units to Kenyans, utilizing innovative financing schemes and partnerships with private developers.

5. Uhuru Kenyatta's Second Regime (2017-2022):
Uhuru Kenyatta's second term focused on continuing the initiatives started in his first term and addressing the housing deficit. The regime's notable real estate achievement was the establishment of the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC) in 2018. KMRC aims to provide long-term funding to primary mortgage lenders, thereby increasing access to affordable mortgage financing for Kenyans.

6. William Ruto (2022 - Present)
Like his predecessor, President William Ruto has focused on providing affordable housing. In his promise to the nation, the current head of state noted that the government plans to construct 1,000,000 houses across the country by 2027.
He added that his administration was committed to providing safe, habitable, secure, and affordable housing for all Kenyans.
