Ulinzi Sports Complex Set to be Officially Opened
President Uhuru Kenyatta seems to be signing out of his tenure in style with the numerous developments that are seen within Nairobi city. The recent one being the opening of the Ulinzi Sports Complex along Langata road.
The construction of the Ulinzi Sports Complex was commissioned back in October 2020 by the president of the Republic of Kenya himself. Almost one year and a half later, his excellency president Uhuru Kenyatta is to officially open the sports complex on the 13th of April 2022.
The construction which was to be completed within a year sits on 35 hectares of land and has a capacity of hosting 10,000 people. The complex is said to include a pitch for football, rugby, and hockey, a swimming pool, gym, a standard 8 lane running track, and an indoor arena among other facilities.
The official opening is to be followed by a fixture between Ulinzi Stars and Tusker FC.
Other than the big four agenda, the president has invested heavily in other projects such as the construction of the Nairobi Expressway and the transformation of Uhuru Gardens which is also on Langata Road into a Memorial Park.
