Rental property investment is a venture that most Kenyans see as a way of getting long-term returns as it is one of the most profitable investment options. With a high and increasing population, the demand for housing is high especially in major towns.

Several Kenyan celebrities have invested in the real estate industry, with most having rental properties.

The following celebrities have rental properties in various towns:

1. Dj Mo

After a fan claimed that he is broke, the Crossover 101 Dj asserted that he lives well. He added that he owns two houses that he rents out. He says he does not brag to show off his investments but prides himself in living well.

Additionally, he shared a newly furnished house with his parents revealing that it was one of his dreams come true.

He shared a photo of the interior of his parent's home saying, "I am grateful to God. We are well and blessed. But I feel we need to build our retirement home now."

 2. Thee Pluto

Kenya’s celebrated YouTuber Robert Kamau, colloquially known as Thee Pluto is among those who have dipped their feet into real estate investment. Without disclosing where his rental units are and how much it cost him to build them, he noted that he is a landlord.

In 2022, he took his 138k subscribers to a tour of his newly built mansion. In a past Q&A session with fans on social media, he disclosed that he had rented an apartment in Kilimani and parted with not less than KSh 100,000 each month before moving out to his new mansion.

Furthermore, he is noted to have founded a real estate company, Home of Ideas.

3. Njoro

Ken Gichoya aka Njoro Shindarula of the household Papa Shirandula Show is a landlord. The 43-year-old and father of three children has rental property in Joska, Machakos County whose rent per unit deepens his pockets by Ksh. 10,000.

Sharing his sentiments and struggles as a landlord. 'Njoro' advises that real estate investment is made for the future generation and that trying to reap the fruits after establishing a rental building could equally be as trying.

4. Bahati

Bahati aka Mtoto wa Mama is known to have many properties, and rental houses are part of what he owns. The location has never been released to the public.

5. Jaymo Ule Msee

Wilson Muirani Gathoni alias Jaymo ule Msee, a well-known Kenyan comedian and content creator is a proud landlord. He owns different houses that he rents out.
